Four generations of winemakers in the Langhe region of Piedmont, Paola Oberto and her family are one of the most interesting new names on the Piedmontese wine scene.
Matiné is named after the first vineyard harvested among those owned by the winery. Due to its exposure and terroir, it produces wines that are ready to drink at a young age, unlike many other Nebbiolos. A pure Nebbiolo, already enjoyable young though suitable for long aging, thanks to 9 months of aging in stainless steel and two months in the bottle. Fragrant fruit, noticeable minerality, elegance, and pleasantness make Paola Oberto’s Langhe Nebbiolo an excellent bottle to begin discovering the charm of one of the world’s most important red grape varieties, the Piedmontese Nebbiolo.
